23 APR 2008: Micromet, Inc., which develops antibodies against cancer, inflammatory and autoimmune diseases, recently announced that CD326 (the target for Micromet's product candidates adecatumumab (MT201) and MT110), may be suitable for the eradication of Cancer Stem Cells (CSCs). Studies report that CD326 is highly expressed by CSCs from colon, breast, pancreatic and prostate cancer. Micromet's clinical-stage candidate adecatumumab (MT201) is being co-developed with Merck Serono. Micromet's candidate MT110, an anti-CD326/CD3-bispecific antibody, is in late pre clinical development.
